I started practicing yoga when I was 16, and have now been teaching for more than 20 years as a certified yoga instructor. Although I am trained in several different forms of yoga, at heart I am a practitioner of Hatha Yoga (which emphasizes the importance of physical alignment in poses), deepened by many years of studying Hindu philosophy and mythology. My classes are generally a blend of Hatha and Vinyasa forms, and no two sessions are the same. I also offer specialized yoga programs including prenatal yoga, yoga for cancer patients and survivors, yoga for teens, yoga for athletes, and meditation for stress and anxiety. In addition to my studio classes, I teach at Cal State San Bernardino, Cal Poly Pomona, and the Claremont Colleges. I am available for private sessions in the Greater Los Angeles area and internationally over Zoom by appointment.
WHAT DOES YOGA MEAN TO ME?
For more than 25 years yoga has been my bedrock for connection, community, curiosity, and creativity. As a practitioner, yoga has served as a tool for increasing self-awareness and personal growth as well as a bridge between discipline and playfulness. As a student, yoga has been a source of intellectual inquiry and investigation. Above all, as a teacher, yoga has enabled me to support and inspire others to live healthier and happier lives and become the best versions of themselves.
